Exercise
Conduct a keystroke-level analysis of the ticket machine of
Figure 1. This will involve estimating the time taken for some
of the special operators involved, for example, inserting money
and taking ticket and change. Determine approximate values by
timing yourself using a similar machine. From your analysis,
work out how many commuter passengers the machine can handle per
hour.
